Faith in Action

Nationally churchgoers give an estimated 23 million hours of voluntary work each month, as well as many millions of pounds to other charities and good causes.

Every day, Christians in parishes across Essex and East London are living out their faith in a wide range of ways: running community projects, teaching, working with young people, fundraising, bringing communities together, caring for people who are vulnerable...

Nationally churchgoers give an estimated 23 million hours of voluntary work each month, as well as many millions of pounds to other charities and good causes.

Behind these impressive totals are many thousands of individual people and churches with enormous amounts of vision, commitment, faith and hard work.

Research into faith in action projects within Chelmsford Diocese is under way. The findings will be published in due course.
